Pastor Encouragement

Dear Pastor:

In honor of our pastors we want to first say “Thank You!”  Your dedication to the Lord and continued service to our community is greatly valued.  We realize in the hustle and bustle of our busy world, the people we appreciate the most are often thanked the least.  Please accept our sincere and heartfelt gratefulness for the job you do 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  On behalf of our ministry, thank you again for the work you are doing in the Kingdom.  May God richly bless you and yours all year long!

In Him,

The Pregnancy Support Clinic Board and Staff

Dear Pastor,

A legend named George Herman Ruth, Jr. was born on February 6, 1895.  Just seven years later his father took George to an orphanage and signed over custody.  After many turbulent years, a gentleman stepped up to the plate and took George under his wing.  This man became George’s father figure and eventually encouraged a love of baseball.  After playing several years on the orphanage team George got the break of his life.  One of the best scouts in baseball, Jack Dunn- the owner/manager of the Baltimore Orioles, recognized George’s talent and signed him to a contract.  When the other players saw how young George was, he became known as “Jack’s newest babe”, thus his new name- Babe Ruth.

Babe was well known for his pitching victories as well as his outstanding home run record.  Perhaps the most famous moment in baseball history and certainly of Babe’s career came when he was playing for the Yankees during game 3 of the 1932 World Series against the Cubs.  In the 5th inning, after he had already hit one homerun, Babe came up to bat.  He ran the count to two balls and two strikes.  Before the Cubs pitcher hurled the next pitch Babe pointed to the center field bleachers.  He then slammed what is believed to be the longest home run ever hit out of Wrigley Field, directly above the spot where he had pointed.  The Yankees went on to win the 1932 World Series, their third sweep in four years.

By your dedication to the Pregnancy Support Clinic of Valdosta you help us to hit homeruns every day with our clients.  Our homeruns come in the form of helping mothers choose life for their pre-born babies and in showing them the One True God.  Each day we are given the opportunity to step up to the plate and go to bat for each client.  Without your support we would not be able to accomplish this calling on our lives.  Paul said it best in Romans 1:8,
“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.”

I pray God’s blessings on you as you also step up to the plate daily.  You are appreciated by our staff at the Pregnancy Support Clinic of Valdosta!

Blessed to Serve on God’s Team Together With You,
